Grapes

Allerona is located at the end of a wide valley and with a dry micro-climate. For this reason our vineyards are located with a north-east exposure so that they are irradiated by the morning sun; the smooth and constant slope keeps the soil moist in depth, but preventing water stagnation.

We produce white grapes according to the Production Regulation (so called “disciplinare   di produzione”) of the “classic” wine of Orvieto (Grechetto, Trebbiano Toscano and Trebbiano Procanico, Verdello, Malvasia and Vermentino grapes) and red grapes of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Our grapes are sent to renewed wineries, intended for the production of ”vino classico d’Orvieto” and other typical local wines.
